1. Face. You may need to switch to oil-free skin care products as the weather gets hot depending on how your skin reacts to heat. Some of my favorites (old and new) include LUSH Coalface Cleanser and Cosmedicine Medi Matte Oil Control Lotion. I can only using them in the summer though otherwise they’ll dry me out.

Switch to a lightweight foundation because anything thicker than that will only make you uncomfortable in the summer heat OR skip foundation altogether. I like Make Up For Ever Face and Body Liquid Makeup because it’s lightweight and gives me an even skin tone. If you have a problem with shine, set with a mattifying powder like Make Up For Ever Super Matte Loose Powder. Set your makeup with a makeup setting spray like Urban Decay De Slick Makeup Setting Spray and for touch-ups throughout the day, try MAC Blot Powder–it will keep shine at bay but won’t interfere with your makeup.
2. Eyes. Normally I’d say use an eyeshadow primer under your shadows to keep them on all day, but after seeing the magic of Make Up For Ever Aqua Cream, an ultra-pigmented, long-lasting waterproof eye cream, you seriously only need that one product. Aqua Cream comes in 22 beautiful colors and can be used as an eyeshadow base/primer, an eyeshadow, and some colors can be used as blush and/or lip color. If you love the idea of a primer and a shadow, use an Aqua Cream in a similar color as your shadow to really intensify the color.
Also try Make Up For Ever Pearly Waterproof Eyeshadow Pencil (a waterproof eyeshadow in pencil form with a pearly finish) and Aqua Eyes (a waterproof eye pencil that comes in 25 colors). I don’t recommend waterproof mascara for everyday use (it can sometimes pull out your lashes), but try Make Up for Ever Aqua Smoky Lash for ocassions where you know your regular mascara won’t last.
3. Cheeks. Some of the Aqua Creams can be used as blush, but you can also try this trick to get your blush to stay put: apply a creme blush and then apply a powder blush in a similar color on top.
4. Lips. To get your lip color to last, first apply a base (there’s plenty of lip primers out there, but Chapstick does the trick, too), then fill in your lips with a waterproof lip pencil (try Make Up For Ever Aqua Lip Waterproof Lipliner Pencil) in a shade similar to your lip color. Even if your lip color begins to fade, this base will stay put and gives you some color to hang on to. Apply your favorite lipstick and then a gloss on top for extra staying power.
